Ian Rush

Rush is arguably the most ever famous player to play for Wales. He was outstanding in front of goal during his international career, scoring 28 goals in 73 appearances. He made his debut for Wales in the year 1980 and last appearance in 1996. His great play nearly earned his nation qualification to the 1992 European Championships as he scored a winning goal against Germany in a qualification match.
He is most notable for his time playing for Liverpool, winning many major honours with the club and scored 229 goals in his career at Liverpool, their second top ever goal scorer. He is the top ever goal scorer of the Welsh national team with 28 goals.

Pat Van den Hauwe

Van Den Hauwe was born in Belgium however he decided to play his national football for his adopted country, Wales. Van den Hauwe started his career off playing for Birmingham City in the year 1978, before moving to Everton in 1984, spending five years at the club. He moved to Spurs in the summer of 1989 and spent four years until 1993 at the club, helping Tottenham win the 1991 FA Cup.

Mark Hughes

Hughes is without doubt one of the greats of Welsh football. He represented his national side in a 15 years period between 1984 and 1999, Scoring 16 goals in 72 appearances for Wales. He started his career off playing for Wales Football before enjoying short spells playing for Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Between 1988 and 1995 he went back to Old Trafford for a second spell, making over 275 appearances for United. He later on had short spells playing for Southampton, Chelsea, Everton and Blackburn Rovers. In the year 1999, he was installed as the new manager of Wales and managed the side for five years, nearly taking his country to Euro 2004.
