Joey Jones
Caps – 72

Jones recorded an incredible 72 caps playing for Wales during his very successful football career. He is arguably the finest ever full back to have played for the Welsh national football team. He started his career playing for Liverpool, winning the league title with the club in 1977. He left the reds in the summer of 1978, moving to Wrexham and later enjoyed spells playing for Chelsea and Huddersfield Town.

 

Neville Southall
Caps – 93

Southall holds the proud record of being Wales most capped ever football player, making 93 appearances for his country between the goal posts. He made his international debut for Wales in 1982 and made his last appearance in the year 1997. He was in goal for Wales as they narrowly missed out in qualifying for Euro 92. He started his playing career with Bury and then Port Vale before moving to Everton in 1983, going on to spend 14 years with the club, making over 450 appearances. He won the league title with the club in the 1980’s and the FA cup in 1995.

Peter Nicholas
Caps - 73

Nicholas is arguably Wales’s finest ever centre half and made 73 appearances playing for Wales, making his debut in the year 1979. He was installed as the captain of Wales in the year 1982.
He played his football for Crystal Palace and most notably, Arsenal during the 1980 – 1981 season. He soon moved on to play for Luton Town, Aberdeen and Watford before retiring from playing in 1993.
