Allchurch made his international debut in the year 1951, in an encounter against England. He was a member of the Welsh football team that took part in the 1958 world cup finals held in Sweden. He played his domestic football for various clubs, including, Newcastle United, Cardiff City and Swansea, scoring more than 250 goals in his career. He is arguably Wales greatest ever football player.

John Charles
Charles was rated by many as one of the finest centre forwards during his day. He was a key component of the Wales team that played in the 1958 world cup finals. He started his career playing for Leeds United before moving on to sign for Italian club, Juventus, for a then British record transfer fee of £65,000. At Leeds United, he was awesome in front of goal, scoring 42 goals during the 1953- 1954 season.
