Jones recorded an incredible 72 caps playing for Wales during his very successful football career. He is arguably the finest ever full back to have played for the Welsh national football team. He started his career playing for Liverpool, winning the league title with the club in 1977. He left the reds in the summer of 1978, moving to Wrexham and later enjoyed spells playing for Chelsea and Huddersfield Town.
